FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Under Bust: 28 inches
Length:14 inches from center
MATERIALS
Red Heart Kids (100% acrylic) 1 skein (4 ounces/242 yards)in crayon ombre
16-inch US #10/6mm circular needle
Size J Crochet hook
notions required: Stitch marker
GAUGE
12 sts/22 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch
PATTERN NOTES:
Piece is worked in a round and then worked back and forth, if you desire you can switch to straight needles when this happens.
When making the back bar and the neck, you can chain until it fits around your back/neck. With the neck I chained a couple of extra and tied them into a small bow in the back. If your chest is larger you might have to change the crocheted top, instead of working 3 rounds of each st, work 4 (ex. Sc & pick up all garter sts, work 3 rows of sc, 4 rows of hdc. Et cetera)

Absolutely adorable. Granted, I can't make it at the moment, since it is quickly becoming winter in Chicago, but as soon as spring hits, I will try it out!! Thanks for your creativity!
I love this pattern - and since I'm a bigger girl, I'm going to give it a little mathematical alteration to make it fit for me!
Thanks!! ! :D
If you improove the pattern/edit it to size it better, can you let me know what you did? I'd like to try and get better at sizing things for people that don't have my exact body :p
what I'm going to do is do a stitch count with a particular needle, say a size 8, and how many stitches per inch is going to let me know if my waist measurement needs to be 30", I will multiply my number of stitches per inch by 30. Then I will find the difference bedtween my new stitich number and the previous to get a ratio. This will let me change the other measurements to match my new number.
I love this pattern. You're very talented, especially for one so young. (But unschoolers rock -- my five kids are unschooled.) I'm going to try this with some tangerine dayglo Carons Simply Soft for my youngest daughter.

This was a great pattern I like the combination of crochet and knit stitches. Thanks so much for sharing this!
Hello, I already commented but now that I've done the pattern (three times in three different colorways) I had to add another comment. This is an amazing pattern and it zips right by. Now that spring has arrived in Indiana I wear my hippy halters all the time, they're a great wear!
